I'll counter this disco invasion with some real stuff from the 70s.

All you salty dogs ragged on Disco and destroyed it , but you failed miserably at doing the same thing to Rap music. Good job on that one! :p

At least Disco was limited to clubs, unlike (c)rap that is heard from every decked out low-riding Chevy Impala throughout the country!!

This song appeared in the darkest days of the disco era and gave me hope that good music was making a comeback. It is still one of my favorites.

Ha! The little woman is right now doing the laundry and vacuuming the house while I on the other hand am preparing to go out on the deck, light a cigar and gaze at the lake whilst enjoying a drink!

I'm so glad she doesn't have my password and is not interested in WW2

I spent a total of seven weeks in the US from 1970 to July 1977. The '70s were "fun" for me.

I'm glad the 70s are over, the weird colored clothes, the hair, disco, elevator shoes, mood rings, lava lamps, 8 tracks and all. In high school, I was on the football team. The coaches were all WW2/Korean War era men, so all hair had to be military style. On game days, we all wore sport coats/collared shirts and ties to school. No leisure suits. Discipline was strict to say the least. After graduating in '77 I went in the Army, so the discipline thing wasn't hard to adapt to. My dad was a very strict disciplinarian as well, so the Army lifestyle fit me quite well.

I don't think the thing that stopped men from being men was sometime in the 90s when the PC virus struck the country.

I'm not so easily swayed. Hip hop and rap?.... Adult themed nursery rhymes recited to sampled electronicly generated music....

    tatoos....

    Multiculturialism....

There's plenty to dislike with the first decade of the new millinium.....
