Saw the trailer for this earlier today on History: http://www.tvguide.com/news/world-wars-trailer-1079956.aspx Given the network its airing on, I'm wary at how good it might be though (all flash and no substance, sprinkled with some BS If you know what I mean). Still, I'm willing to give it a shot.
Not a big fan of the name even...Not from an information source...even the classic "World at war" dodged that (slight) misnomer...
I am hoping it is OK. Not holding out hope. Regardless I will watch and look forward to your thoughts. I just hope the dramatizations are well done.
Well, how about a US Stuart on a WWI battlefield? - http://www.history.com/topics/world-war-i/world-war-i-history/videos/world-war-i-global-connections?m=528e394da93ae&s=undefined&f=1&free=false
Did I hear them right when they said Hitler launched Plan Blue towards the South because he did not like the name of a certain city? And here I thought it was about oil!
Like all movie productions, they are based on a true story. Making money takes precedence over factual data. You know that.
It wasn't good. Over dramatized and over produced. It seems they were trying to appeal to a wider audience.
