US 'new' Battleships at D-Day

    Just checking the wording of my source.
    Appx B to RA Branch 21 Army WD May 1944 "Artillery Planning in Op Overlord"
    Para 5 Observation sub para (c)

    This says that the there were enough parties to satisfy the planning requirement was for seven per division.

    There were some extra British FOB's assigned to Corps (spare?) and to support the two Special Service Brigades.
