These are false alerts because Firefox stil thinks it is not fixed. You can disable those alerts for the forum in firefox, in your preferences box, this should solve the problem
You can also use IE8 without a problem. It take some time for Google and Firefox to "catch up" with the fix.
I've merged a few malware related threads into this one, a single good source of info is better than multiple decent ones.
Long story short: We use VBulletin to run this forum. The attack we suffered last Nov-Dec was a new exploit that VBulletin had not seen before-essentially we were the first site to get hit using that particular vulnerability. Why us? I don't know. Regardless, Otto alerted VB, provided pertinent information about the problem to them and a patch was issued and immediately installed by Otto. Because we endured an attack that made our site (temporarily) a potentially dangerous site for visitors, we were put on that list by Google. They wait 90 days after the last infestation to clear the unsafe status. The warning will be there until sometime in March, I can't remember the day. It took more than just visiting the forum to put a computer at risk, you had to click on a now dead link embedded in the forum. That is why members reported no problems to use with their machines even while the attack was in progress. Other VBulletin-run sites ought to be thanking us for taking the hit and saving them the headaches. It certainly was a pain in the rear, especially for Otto. Personally, I'd like a few minutes with them and a baseball bat, but that is just me. Thank your for your patience and loyalty.
Thanks for the update, Jeff. The only forum I ever have trouble with is the Weapons forum. Firefox usually won't let me in unless I disable the protection. Other browsers give me no trouble. Strange.
