Wal=Mart schemmel

    the first time I saw a schemmel it was in our newsletter, and I built one from the plans published in the article, it looked like the one wephaus sells. but there is another style just as authentic, but much cheaper sold at wal-mart under the name sturdy stool for 9.95 if you dont have a wal mart near you maybe i could arrange something to get one to you. every German soldat was issued one and they are a hoot for barracks events. oh, i meant Kaserne. soldaten would sit on them to do their boots etc. i brought one to my first reenactment as a German and it was immensely popular. evryone had a use for it and it travelled around the camp site. even if you arent reenacting the stool is very useful and sturdy btw these are made in China.it has a slot in the top to pick it up and carry it.
