' The Dam Busters ' - in the film, we see a trophy hanging on a bedroom wall. This belonged to one of the missing pilots - and it really did, as the trophy was lent by the airman's family for the film. Who was the pilot and what was the trophy ? And before you all start moaning, the answer is available on the net, 'cos that's where I found it !
Snore...zzzzzzzzzzz OK, it was 'Dinghy' Young and the trophy was an oar from the 1938 Oxford/Cambridge boatrace; Young was a member of the winning crew. Right - a nice, quick, easy one. What is the link between the De Havilland Mosquito and Saving Private Ryan ?
YES ! Well done that man there in Finland.... A large chunk of SPR was made in a specially constructed village and river ( ) built on the site of the old De Havilland factory airfield at Hatfield. Over to you, Kai !
I remember this guy. He played a big role in Decision Before Dawn as the Panzer Regiment Commander who had sentenced a very young Klaus Kinski, who was the soldier who was compolaining when he was being sentenced to death by Hasse. I also think he was an SS Officer in Hotel Berlin.
Thanx Carl but I was looking for major roles like Commander of Tirpitz and Canaris. Ok, new question. How many REAL spitfires were used in the shooting of Dark blue world ( the Czech film )? If you have the DVD then the answer is at least on the documentary part on it....well, it probably is in the net just like the previous question was....!
