No, I mean the shower of privately-educated "socialists" who are currently destroying the country's social fabric....Harriet Harman, to name but one. The same bunch of spoilt brat students who would have fled to the hills if they had ever seen a real revolution coming.

I wouldn't go that far, they were hardly taking a risk considering the massive resources they have available to deal with these cases, even if they had been sued.

Just in case you're not aware of the story, and there's no reason why you might be, those men were alleged to have been involved in the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence, and the subsequent failure of the police and judicial system to pursue either investigation or trial.

    Timeline:
Stephen Lawrence - timeline of events

Oh don't be so ungenerous. No other paper did that, and to criticise them for it is counter productive. No doubt you'd like the Mail to be a little different in their coverage, but when they are you'll still find fault.

Brian "There's no pleasing some people."
Ex-Leper "That's just what Jesus said, sir."

Really with Headlines like these "Forget the French ... it is now more vital than ever that we British have OUR say"; "Liquorice cured my cold sores"; "Blair awakes to a Euro nightmare"; "How I beat the misery of hair loss";"Back Boris, Bury Ken, Bash Gordon "; "New teeth, new breasts, a nose job and lip implants"; "Could Germany ditch the euro?"; and "Why do we always fall for cads?"

The potent mixture of anti-Labour Europhobic politics and artful lifestyle material, concentrating on self-improvement, health and relationships, is a giveaway. This is the modern Daily Mail, the paper that is becoming more populist by the week as it seeks to become Britain's biggest-selling right wing daily.

A further concern, aired by members of the Press Complaints Commission, is the Mail's ethical record. The Mail has attracting more complaints than other titles, including red-tops, leading to a belief that desperation is driving the paper's journalists to breach the editors' code of practice too often as they chase down trivial scoops and seek to do down the government of the day.

However, one can cannot excuse the momentous hiring of the Sun's most popular columnist, Richard Littlejohn. The Mail's editor, said Littlejohn was "returning to his spiritual home". I must agree because anyone who reads Littlejohn regularly will see that, in spirit, he is more a traditional hard-right Sun writer than an old skool middle class Mail one.

Heads up Pete, all that @#$%%^ is trying to do, is to provoke you into a big verbal and public argument. It's already tried that with me twice today.

    Take care my friend--Carl.

    1) The "complaints" are probably from the same vacuous people who think "Daily Mail reader" is the ultimate insult. ;) Name these "members of the Press Complaints Commission", and post links to their political affiliations.
    2) "Trivial scoops" is a bit rich coming from someone whose main complaint about the Daily Mail is that Lord Rothermere supported Mosely....SEVEN DECADES ago. I'm presuming you're not actually old enough to have felt insulted first time round?

Crickey you are lazy. I'm amusing you have heard about the google from your pals at the Con club bridge nights. As for my age I am neither old or young.

Let me remind you of this :

The rout of the Mosley gang is due to the splendid way in which the whole of East London's working-class rallied as one man (and one woman) to bar the way to the Blackshirts. Jew and Gentile, docker and garment worker, railwayman and cabinet-maker, turned out in their thousands to show that they have no use for Fascism.’

If you can't back up claims, don't make 'em! ;)
You also seem a bit obsessive over Mosley. You might want to consider therapy.

Although you undoubtly lack charm at least you have wit. However, wit is a treacherous dart. It is perhaps the only weapon with which it is possible to stab oneself in one's own back.

    Oh well, I'll help you I suppose;
According to the PCC themselves, they received 8,771 complaints between April 2005 and September 2007. Exactly 27 were upheld.
    Press Complaints Commission >> Cases
See how many times you can spot the same complainant's name appearing. ;)
The resolved complaints pages gave 82 complaints against the Daily Mail, 20 against the Mail on Sunday, 1 against the Mail Online, and 7 against the Scottish Daily Mail.
No time period is specified that I could see, but if within the same time period I already stated, 110 complaints from a total of 8,771 is nothing to get excited about. But why spoil all your fun, eh?
