    That's me!

    This model
    [IMG]

was from a kit I bought at a Duxford airshow for £2. The plastic was brittle and snapped easily, no two parts joined together without needing half a tube of filler, there were no assembly instructions or decals, and the painting guide was entirely wrong.

    I loved it! :D

    I'm the complete opposite.
I REALLY enjoy building a well-engineered kit. Accurate Miniatures, Dragon, Tamiya, Italeri, Hasegawa, Academy to name a few of my faves. I've built a ton of old Mongram and Revell kits from back in the day. I loved the big kits, 1/48 bombers with complete interiors. Had to use some filler, as they didn't always come together quite spot-on.
The less filler and sanding, the better.
I enjoy accurizing a kit, but not re-engineering it.
Might-y-fine job on that Russian jet by the way.

Isn't that a rocket powered Soviet aircraft?

Yup, a Bereznyak-Isayev BI. Basically a rocket-interceptor, designed in 1941, flown in 1942 (the gap was due to the general inconvenience of being invaded) but discovered to be highly unstable and also rather unecessary.

    Hey tomgrey,
nice work there! Looks really neat. Just as if it's real mudd!

I'd like to warn you on one thing though, now that you're still on it:
Try not to overdo the mudd thing! Cause that will eventually ruin much of your quality modelling. I've been known for overdoing mudding and wheathering as well, and it always leaves with you with a " wish I hadn't done that" feeling. I guess you know what I mean! ;)
Good luck on the rest of your model!

We build a model within the guidelines given, within the timespan given, and then the models are judged by both the forum members and the forum admin.

    http://www.fun-online.sk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5750

is the newest one (not yet started)

Take a look around the Hobbies section for anything headed 'GB' or 'Group Build'

yeah that sure looks great tomgrey!

Any chance you could do something about the grey inside of the hull, which you can see through the top hatch? I usually paint that black or so, so that it doesn't jump into the eye on pictures too much.

Yes ofc. The main parts not fixed yet. (hull, lower body). Anyway there will be a figure in the hatch...

    Thx anyway...
