Picked this one up this morning! A German Shrapnel minen smi-35 container, with its three compartments for three landmines. It has great cammo paint, which is believe looks original. If someone can tell me where to look for Waffenamt markings please tell me.

I thought of you when I spotted this Martin. I found it at a village fair near Beaugency, the very place where General Elster's collumn surrendered in 1944. I like to think it was part of one of his truck loads. Don't ask the price I paid for it, you'll hate me :D

Let me guess...something extortionate like 10 euros?

Great addition to your collection, Skipper!

Have you tried looking for the WaA stamp near the handle as I know ammo tins usually have them stamped there?

I was actually waiting for you to tell me where the waa marking are supposed to be. I'll have a look at those markings, if any.

Btw: your guess was right :)

I will and btw the way have a drink on me. This Britsh enamel bottle came with the frame. It must be an early version because the blue is rather WW1 , but the web and cloth are WW2 , so probably B.E.F.

Hans Collani (13 February, 1908 – 29 July, 1944) was a Standartenführer (Colonel) in the Waffen SS during World War II.

In February 1943, he was transferred to command the III (Finnish) Battalion/ SS Panzergrenadier Regiment Norland, 5th SS Panzer Division Wiking until July 1943 when the Finns returned home to Finland at the end of their contract.

Nice photo album, well at least it starts nicely but then it seems it has also Luftwaffe and RAD and Gebirgsjäger photos. Perhaps someone made a photo album from a number of photos...
