Hauptmann Schröer-second to marseille in Africa
General major Scherer
Nice paper stuff. What I got so far. I have 1 more thing to do a pic of. Rich A. in Pa.
Some nice stuff there - as usual ! I especially like the egg- and smoke-grenades ; they're getting to be hard to find now in decent condition.....
I received these salty 1st Pattern HBT Coveralls last week. Once worn by a 20th Armored Division soldier in WWII.
The uniform is in great shape!
Nice find James. Great to see an whole outfit in such great shape.
Nice coveralls. Looks like it had sew on rank on the shoulder. Hope they are a good size. Rich A. in Pa.
Another new thing. Rich A. in Pa.
Ooohh...now that's my kind of thing !
A Panzerfaust 30 klein ; these are getting much harder to find in Europe except in very poor condition. That is a great find !
Based on another pair I have, it appears to be a 42L.
JMD62,That is nice. Bigger size stuff is always better.
Martin Bull,Thanks. Earlier a guy at Jake's Flea Market had a tube. It looked like a rusty pipe. He wanted 2/3 of what I paid for this. Rich A. in Pa.
Thanks! I'm curious because I've noticed that larger size thing mentioned before. Is there a particular reason for that?
They made less of the larger size stuff than the average size for the time. There were not a lot of 250 pound 18 year old's back then. I like to buy stuff that is in my size or larger. Also larger size items are more valuable. Rich A. in Pa.
I guess you could also put more clothing under in cold weather if the uniform was a little big...Just my a guess...
I made a 2018 version of our militaria thread:
Otto,Thanks! Rich A. in Pa.
