and the Delaware destroyers….now that does go back, doesn't it. Those were the days that you could go down the jersey shore and see some amazing bands without paying a ridiculous cover charge. Those were the days

We've had a few swabbies in the family but none were what you'd call 'drunken sailors'. Well one did like to tie one on now and then but he was a submariner!

It's been over a year and needed to do some replenishing to the liquor larder.

Giving a bottle of Balvenie Doublewood a try.

Then again during studies we had ' Black Russian ' 50% vodka, 50% coffee liquer. Strong, tasty, makes you feel warm, excellent.

    White Russians here, please.
    Equal Vodka/Kahlua/Milk. + Ice.

    Preferably gold top. Never cream.
You have my permission to knock anyone out that tries to introduce Ice Cream or swirls of anything.
The aim is to drink like a 1960s ad man, not some hipster arse-hat.

Well, the forever truth is that after you are 40 years of age, two days of partying makes your hangover last two weeks. When you were 20, it was two weeks of partying and two days of hangover....

I like Redemption Bourbon, but if I've got a C-note in my grubbies I go for the scotch.

I've gone back to my roots lately...... Pabst Blue Ribbon. I do have a small bottle of Evan Williams that is to my liking.
So much so I celebrated us getting above zero for the first time this year !

I've been eyeing a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue. But I'm really going to have to find a way to justify ! Hey wait a second, I'm ambulatory, breathing and I did just cut down another half dozen trees!

    Sounds reasonable enough.

I know = that's the conundrum ?! Kinda like a $20.00 cigar, who in their right mind would even consider it. Having said that, I've never been accused of rational thought. May as well live down to my reputation.

My son got me a bottle of the blue for my birthday about 10 years ago. It was extremely expensive back then , even. He has the dough.
