WW2 Bailey Bridge still in use

    The canal isn't wider and I don't think it rises and falls much. There is a 'beek' south of Aardenburg and I suspect the bridge you mention was there, not the canal?

    I have to double check with the 16th's War Diary and that might take some time. I don't think that I have a copy for that time period.
    Btw: I find that locations in War Diary entries are vague at best. Most of the time, men didn't really know where they were.
    Anyhow, this is the only Bailey bridge of this type (TS) built in the area in October 1944.
