Hi Andy, correct on all accounts about Decision before Dawn ;-)) Richard Bsehart was the AMi Offizier who led that mall traitorous team. Oskar Werner was "Happy" and Hans-Christian Blech was: "Tiger".

As for the other movie-I think your talking about 36 Hours and the Ami who was medically traumatized and made into thinking der Krieg vas offer-was played by James Garner. Rod Taylor was the Chermin Offizier disguised as an Ami Offizier/Doktor-who was doing his program against Garner. BTW, I just bought a complete set of Lobby Cards to this movie ;-))

Also, what blows the Chermins story was that Garner also notices he has a small paper-ut on one of his fingers-that wasnt heal which should have long since healed-had the story been true? The paper cut was missed by the Chermins when Garner was kidnapped. :))

Hi Alien/ I replied to Andys q/ before I could read your posts about 36 Hours.

    Great movie aint it? ;-))

Kruska is right that there's another movie with a similar plotline: I've seen it as well, but can't recall the title, or with whom it was. (Ok, that means the movie wasn't THAT impressive after all)
It was made in the early nineties I believe, and I remember a scene where the lead character escapes the hospital on a motorbike with sidecar over green grasslands...(or am I imaging stuff now??? ;-))

Tried to Google the movie, but didn't come up with anything...:-(

I actually got to see this, well drive by it, in the summer of '88. I was with some other high school students on a trip through Europe, and when we were going from Salzburg to Venice, I was a road sign that said "Werfen." The other kids didn't know the movie, but our teachers did, and I took some pics of the castle as we passed the town. They're kind of blurry, so I'm not going to bother scanning them, but it was a thrill for me.

Also, my favorite moment is when Burton is going to give Nesbitt the notebooks. When he gets in front of Eastwood, I look to the left and see the shadows of Eastwood going for the silenced PPK. Then Eastwood urgently whispers, "Smith!" Burton hits the deck, and Eastwood calmly takes out the bad guys one by one. The nurse heads for the door, trotting on those high heels, heading for Mary Ure, and Eastwood calmly draws a bead on her and puts two in her back like it was nothing. Exceptional.
