Safe travels. Hope you had a good time.
I'll try to remember to send you some U-505 postcards. We're in Chi Town mid-month.
Glad you enjoyed your visit. Have you ever been to Texas?
As an update on your cards, I checked the mail today, as this was the last day for delivery before the long weekend. Cards 1,2,3, & 5 have all arrived, been scanned, uploaded, posted, and placed on the map. The rest are still in transit but we will have to wait until Tuesday at the earliest.
Please do. I can't believe I never sent one in having lived so long in the Windy City and having visited the U505 so often.
Not not been to TX but have rellies there.
Happy Labor Day.
Last time I was there I followed a old lady into the sub. When we went through the access port they had cut into her the lady said "How did it ever float with this big hole in it?" Landlubbers...
Should've told her that they shut the screen door when they submerge.
She would have asked why they took it off.
Have the rest of mine arrived ?
Yes, all nine. The served move caused some delays in updates, but the images are all uploaded to the site. I'll have full updates shortly.
Looking forward to seeing them again.
Made it to Chi-town. Cards will be mailed when we rotate back to home base.
I've got them up. Really appreciate you sending them in.
My next trip will be to see USS Cairo.
Twas fun on holiday selecting cards & then hunting down mailboxes.
Keep an eye out for a postcard from me @Otto . I posted one today.
I checked again today, nothing arrived yet.
Have you got the postcards from me & @Slipdigit yet ?
Yes, I sent one about a month ago from Baltimore.
I did get one from Owen a little while back. I just scanned it in and will be up shortly. Nothing from Baltimore yet, but haven't checked the PO box in a couple days. I'll swing by in a couple hours and check back in.
