I've never seen a working Panther in any movie. There are some good tank scenes in "Cross of Iron" with a T34/85, though.

There was this 1 movie I forget the name it followed a squad from the Big Red 1. When they encountered Panzers in the African deserts, the Germans were armed with T-34s just as many other WWII movies, and guess what in these movies the tanks die so easily . And once I have actually seen a couple Shermans in German paint.

well, it depends when those movies were made. i saw a lot of bad WW2 movies when it comes to details but most of them are from the sixities. i don't think that they had enough money to make new german tanks. or even think about making realistic scenes. WW2 was 20 years ago in those days and a lot of people wouldn't like to see the germans winning easely.

these days it's all different. "you want a tiger, no problem. you pay and we make it"
and we're 60 years after WW2. most emotions are gone and we can make realistic WW2 movies. (yes, even movies where the germans are winning)

hey, there's a scene in "Downfall" ("Der Untergang") where you see a tiger. if you look good enough you can see it's made of wood. guess they didn't had enough money :D
