All -- I believe (or more accurately, hope and pray) that our chat software will be installed within the next couple of days. At that point, I shall test the system and then declare us ready for our first author chat. As you know, the first chat is scheduled on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 3pm ET (East Coast of the USA) with Gregory Freeman, author of The Forgotten 500.

As of this morning, 9 Rogues have signed up to participate in the discussion. If you signed up, I have sent you a note asking that you confirm your participation (except for Slipdigit, who I know has not made any alternate plans!). Please respond to my PM as soon as you can so that I will have an accurate head count.

If you have not registered for the chat and you still wish to do so, I will accept 2 more Rogues for the time being - first come, first served!

If you are not able to participate but you questions relating to Yugoslavia during WWII and, more specifically, to downed Allied airmen in Yugoslavia, please send your questions to me and I shall try to ask them during the chat.

    Cheers!

F500 came in while I was on vacation. I put down Billy Mitchell's book and already am into the 3rd chapter.

    Good read so far.

How many questions do we get to ask? One each, or are we constricted by a time schedule?

Mike -- I am going to limit the chat to an hour but if we still have questions and Mr. Freeman is willing to remain with us, we can ask more. I am not sure how quickly Mr. Freeman types but I think I will go from Rogue to Rogue so that every gets to ask the same number of questions but we will only ask new questions when we have finished each discussion (i.e., if you ask a question, we can all ask related follow up questions before we move to a new issue).

I do suggest that Rogues have all of their questions typed out in Word so that you can copy and paste to save time when your question time arrives. I suspect everyone will get up to 8 or 10 questions so we will probably have more time than questions unless you guys have a lot to ask.

Don't fret . . . I said "up to." This is not a test and you are not getting graded on your questions. Four good questions will be far superior to 8 forced questions. Come with as many questions as you have and we'll see how many we get through.

All -- We are fast approaching our inaugural book discussion with Gregory Freeman regarding The Forgotten 500. If you have not been selected to participate in the chat, you are still welcome to send me any questions that you may have and I shall feed them into the discussion as time permits. We expect to post the transcript of the chat in the forum soon after the event.

Please use the PM function to send me your questions.

    Cheers!
