If you're 12 Kyle, you'd have to lie about your age to join the Talk ;).
    Safer here I reckon, I've lost Owen's choke-chain...

The forums are nearly as old as you are. :D

I'm on several forums, thirteen I think. Some are military, some are military related, some are not. I can usually find someone to argue with at any time of the day or night.

I am really pleased that young people like Chef and Radar are here. Their interest makes me have hope for the future generations.
And this seems like a great place for the young or unlearned to come and find information. The moderators here are top notch in my opinion, and can keep the boards and friendly for all ages.
But if you youngsters do ever have a problem with someone badgering you about your age (and you don’t deserve the treatment), let someone know!

So instead of buying weed like all my friends, I buy ww2 iron crosses :p. The mods really are good, and don't you worry some kids in our generations may not care, but we do my friend and so will my kids.

I joined here at the age of thirteen and I can honestly say I was here every day or two, multiple times. I can happily say that the intellectuals that inhabit this fine place have helped me shape myself through the years of 13-15 when I was drowning in hormones. So however "corny" it may sound, part of my "growing up" occurred when when the gentlmen here put me in my place the unfortunately numerous times that I required it to be done.

Just remember over there, it's proper English and grammar. No cute text language, sentence fragments, one word answers and hyroglyphics allowed. And most of all, NO "WHAT IF'S.

And don't go over there saying things like Patton was better than Monty, or the P-51 was better than the Spitfire. Them's fight'n words, even if they are true....

He asked for and got special dispensation from me. He has an active adult relative here. I figured since he told the truth up front and had a sponsor, I'd give him a chance.

Yes 13. That is why you could not post initially.

You know that is grounds for a banning, dontcha. Don't worry, I lied about my age when I joined also. I told them I was 57, when I was considerably younger.

It is fighting words with some, but others are level-headed enough to have a good conversation with. Plus, they, for the most part, think the Sherman was a pretty good tank.

We have those proper English guidelines here, also. I don't tolerate l33t speak or any other off-kilter dialect...except for that which is spoken in the Southern US.

What would a Scotsman talking without his kilt on have to do with anything?
