I would never sell such a family archive but not everyone shares the appreciation of history that we share. Perhaps Christiane died without children and the papers went to a collateral relative. Perhaps they went to a friend. Perhaps, they went her husband's family and they did not want her prior love affairs known. Maybe they just needed the money. We can't really know why or how the archive came up for sale, but it is worth asking how the seller got it. Maybe the seller will not respond. Maybe the seller will give you a lot of information. MAYBE the seller will have more of an archive that it is willing to sell. You never know . . . .
It's been a long time now (several months , if not more) but I will give it a try and will keep you informed.
Hey Skipper! I've been out on the road for the last 3 weeks! I was supposed to be back every weekend but trucking companies over here are notorious for pulling that stunt! I'm leaving again tomorrow morning again, but will have my laptop with me and I'll be checking in every few days! Thanks for asking!!
Okay good to know your are healthy and working. In the meantime I will scan a few more documents that I will post here within the next few days.
My pleasure, Skipper...glad I could help you!Sorry I'm responding so late, but I'm abroad and didn't got the chance to log in...
Don't worry Masklin, I will be in touch with you later. Thanks again for your contribution to this story.
