    Like Harolds, I too thought these were black and white photos. Excellent eye for detail and incredible dexterity. You have mastered a rare art form.

    That's a beautiful image - I wish I had that talent !

    ( BTW, another reason I admire the drawing is that it represents the September 1940 mount of Squadron Leader Brian Lane of 19 Squadron, who wrote the famous memoir 'Spitfire !' under the pseudonym of 'B J Ellan'. Sadly, he was killed later in the war )

    Hello. I must say your drawings are very precise and impressive. You seem to be able to capture a specific point of time which is a very rare talent. I have been collecting limited edition signed Aviation Art for many years with a heavy hand in Battle of Britain. I went on your site and really thought your portrait of Galland was fantastic. Thanks for sharing

    WILD DUKW, please do not take this the wrong way... your technique is very good and you have promise. But, just copying old WWII photographs is a good exercise, but is is a waste of time in the long run. If you want to be a truly be recognized as an artist - use your imagination an come up with images that no one has seen before, and we all cheer.

    1. WILD DUKW is not the artist.

    2. This is a unique drawing and not a copy of a WW2 photograph. You see Spitfire P9386 had an A-wing with 8×.303 mgs when she was QV-K. Yet, in the drawing, the Spit has a B or C-wing, as the 20mm cannon is clearly visible.

    Thusly, This is an image no one has seen before, since QV-K was never outfitted with 20mm cannons.
