    PS. Why colourise B&W photos of WWII unless the originals were in colour? Just wondering, can't suss it out.

    Regarding colourising? More realistic in my opinion (the world isn't black and white after all) and this then helps from an educational standpoint - easier to connect with something if it look like 'real life'. B/w can put a barrier up to relating to it, make it seem more 'distant'.

    Nothing against b/w photos of course - there are plenty of great photos out there and from an artistic viewpoint, they can be stunning.
