Red Cross Concentration Camp, Nis, Serbia

    Visiting the Red Cross Concentration Camp in Nis, Serbia, was unsettling, confronting and heart-wrenching. The former camp is now a museum, and information provided states: 'As the military base (that was transformed into a concentration camp) was neighbouring the Red Cross Train Station, the camp itself was unofficially named The Red Cross Concentration Camp'. I have put more photos and information about the Camp here

    Was it a Red Cross camp, or was that the name of the town?

    Definitely not a International Red Cross operation, they don't usually take hostages. ;)

    I'd hate to live in those apartments that overlook the camp. Thanks for sharing this bit of WW II history that I was unaware of.
