    Can anyone provide information, photos, etc. with regard to the Golden Eichenlaub to the Pour Le Merite?

    Gosh...O...Gee Wiz, please tell me that there's someone who participates in this section of the forum who knows somethng about these? It's hard to believe that no one seems to.

    I have been able to find out the following information to share with you:

    Of the 1,687 Pour Le Mérite awarded during the First World War, 122 "silver gilt" oak leaves were awarded. In anyone's book this small 7.25 percent would be considered "ultra rare".
