Sorry Erich, probably cannot find any names but I just got the photos from the mail so I´ll find out more tonight. Feels like Forrest Gump " Life is like a chocolate box!"...

John very nicely done, is the background matt a dark green or black as it really sets these fine medals off very well

Thank you Erich, the medals are in a display frame-I removed the glass front to take the photo-and usually reside on the wall in my 'museum room'...:)

The background is black felt glued on to the display frame backboard.

I'll post a photo of my German medal collection soon.

Thanks! no not restored! I found this 100% original (also the camo) last year on a attic of an pensioned man, and bought it two months ago.

Hi Dutchy, very nice acquisition!! I noticed a spot of "Continental Grey" still visable. You got yourself there a helmet that will easily fetch $5,000 USD. I have a good friend who lives in Washington, who also has one of these but, I THINK his is painted in the tropical colors.

Hi John, I almost missed this, great collection of German stuff. I have all of these with the exception of the coins and the Hindenburg Cross. But again, very tastefully mounted and thanks for showing.

One question if you don't mind? Are any of your Wound Badges maker-marked? As far as I know and from my small collection, only my WWII Silver and Gold examples are.

Hi Carl, non of my wound badges are maker marked, but, (as I'm sure you already know) this isn't unusual.

I'm on the lookout for an nice Iron Cross first class to add to my collection.

Hi John, thats true about not being unusual w/ no makers marks. None of my Black Wound Badges have any makers marks and im not sure if my Legion Condor BWB is maker-marked or not? My Silver WB (WWII) is maker-marked Nr. 30 not sure which firm that is? and my 1939 Gold WB is marked but I can't remember which maker it is off-hand? I also have all three grades of IMperial wound badges-none are maker-marked and none are the cut-out versions-which I would not mind getting at some point in time. Also, I don't have any Imperial Nave WB's either.

If serious about wanting to purchase a nice EK1-send me a PM as I know someone who has several and might be wanting to part with one and who will make a better deal than a dealer will. I have four (EK1's) myself but can't part with any yet.

    Cheers--Carl.

PS, I can also give you the address to a private Militaria site that is not open to the public, if you wish to join it? The site is owned and operated by two friends of mine.

Hi Carl, I'm not 100% sure, but I think maker mark Nr30 relates to Robert Metzger G.m.b.H, Pforzheim.
