Today, my beloved was in the street coming back from University and was robbed by some stupid burglars with guns... Now, our car is gone... Thank God nothing serious happened, but my bloody car... :( I didn't pay for it, it was a gift from a non-likeable person but still, it was a fancy and beautiful car... :(

    Bastards!

I hope neither of you would have to get through this ever!

Erich, thanks for worrying. Yes, I have done that so. I am actually praying for it to be found... I hope this country's police would be effective in this case... (That is one of the things I really hate about this country...)

Sorry to hear about that Friedrich.

Hope that you and the other half are fine and not too shaken up. You can always get another car: it's whether you're ok that matters.

I have a car that nobody would want to steal, I reckoned that it was safer that way.

Damn, Friedrich... sorry to hear about that.

At least your other half is all right... that's the main issue. Hope she's not too disturbed by the whole thing.

certainly hope you get the car back as well...

Sorry to hear about that Friedrich. The important thing is that you and your other half--are safe.

I hope you get the car back and I hope there is justice on your behalf.

Thanks for caring, guys! Thanks for being my friends!

Well, the police says that a car like that is very easy to find, and if they don't find it, it has insurance. I just will have to make some hedious paperwork...

Get the robbers?! HA! You made me laugh at that one...

And you're right. The less important is the car. My inspiration and reason to live is quite fine. [IMG]

Not quite, Ron. Where I live is a nice normal middle-classed neighbourhood, but it is as dangerous as any other high or lowe-class neighbourhood in this city... It is becoming worse and worse. What could you expect from a city with 25.000.000 people (Canada's population) with three times the size of New York...

Friedrich sorry to hear about your story. These things make you feel powerless. I hope your girlfriend will get over the shock soon and your car get found too.

I recognize the story of the police from the situation in Holland. Last year I got a small robbery. They stole my radio/cd player out of my car in front of my house. When I went to the police to telle them they asked me for my drivers license which I forgot (stupid). Then they told me they could give me an penalty for that. man I come there for my stolen radio.....

About Köln. I didn't know it's that big.

Volkbert--sorry for your loss as well.

Man o man, I didnt know that not having your i.d. with you in The Netherlands, could get you some charges brought against you? Was it because that when you went to i.d you radio/cd player, that maybe since you didnt have your i.d that maybe they thought you were trying to actually steal from them?

here of course--you can get a fine also for not having you i.d on you--but only if you were stopped for a traffic offense. Also, if for some reason that tour wallet with i.d is in the trunk of your car--you can get in trouble for that too, but usually they will give you a warning--an honest mistake can happen.

Actually, Volkbert, I don't live in Cologne. If I'd live there my car would have never been stolen!!! I live in Mexico city. Has lived here for four years already.

Crazy, it was a bloody BMW 323i, a birthday gift which turned to be an insult and then, after some months, persuaded by my grandfather I accepted it.

And about my beloved, he's all right. It was just a scary experience.

Carl, I don't exactly know why they behave that way. The lady who I spoke with was new in the police work. I knew that because of her shoulder boards. Maybe that was the reason.
