I just saw this show on free-to-air TV,MY LORD, what are they doing to themsleves? Has anyone else seen it? It is rather funny-I enjoyed it-but I'm an idiotic 18 year old! What did everyone else think?
Yeah, kinda retarded, but still funny. And I have to admit there are some things we actually did in my younger days. Pepper spray vs mace vs stun gun (never did the tazer), egg eating contest, alot of stupid stuff. Never did anything involving poo though, or getting ourselves killed. I'm not sure if they ever did it on the show, but we also had a milk drinking contest. And a bunch of us went to go donate blood and then we went home and drank, beer for beer, just to see who could stay up longest. Teen age boys + boredom = jackass.
I actually think it's a bad show. In my opinion it just shows that mtv can show anything and people will still watch. Best regards/ Daniel
Im 16 but love Jackass. It is stupid what they're doing to themselves, i.e when Ryan Dunn gets pushed on a trolley and lands on the grass but it is good entertainment, considering your tastes. Some of it is pretty sick but I guess you either love it or hate. Jet
Jackass is the DUMBEST damn thing to hit the airwaves Already several younger people have died as a result of trying to copy some of those VERY STUPID stunts.
I'm sorry, but actually disagree with you on this Carl. True, many of the stunts are stupid, and many are revolting (Steve O. seems to be a real masochist), but some can give you a good laugh and I enjoy the show as you can keep your brains turned 'off' while watching. Its of course regrettable that some stupid kids try to copy the stunts, but truth is we've ALWAYS had stupid kids, before Jackass and after it, and unfortunately some have always ended up dead (and always will) after trying something stupid.
Hi Sami--no problem in disagreeing with me but--I would have to ask myself--am I willing to set myself on fire--taking the risk of permanently maiming or perhaps killing myself--Just to laugh. Not me. If I need a laugh--ill look at myself in the mirror.
Pretty warped minds dudes ! If you think jumping in a vat of feces is cool, you've got another thing coming......shows the stupidity and idiotcy of the participants, plus dang dangerous if you ask me. Living on the edge here ? I've got other ideas like climbing 200 feet of water ice which puts me on the edge all the time. Plus it's just plain bitchin fun ! E

where the heck has the musik gone ? MTV is in favour of the pre-harmonal college age sit coms like Real World ? got to be kidding, and it gets worse........yeah that is the real world alright. Get a life ! E
If im not mistaken I think that at the beginning of every show they do have a warning not to try the stunts at home (if you can call them stunts). I never knew that people had actually died trying to recreate the stunts. However I have never watched MTV and the only shows that get aired on Terrestrial UK teleision is Wanna Be and Jackass. I actually thought that MTV was a music channel. Jet (Dean)
Man, I haven't seen straight music on MTV since the late 80s. That channel sucks more than lifetime. A couple years back we had "M2", which was like MTV in the 80s. Then it started to suck as well. My buddy has VH1 classics which is all videos and not even any commercials. Pretty cool. 50s to the 80s. Nothing good out now adays anyhow.
I think MTV2 is great at times, and then there's always 'alternative nation' on MTV. VH1 is also good at times, especially their artist documentaries. Best regards/ Daniel

I have to completely agree with you there. I remember when MTV was actually a fun station to watch. The first video I remember wathcing there was one called: "The Curly Shuffle." Where has all the fun gone?
I did watch some 10 parts of the show after which the things they did were really not very good anymore. I think it´s ok to make "fools of themselves" with some crazy ideas bút if the tricks are dangerous or even offending then I think that´s not good. For instance I liked the catapult into the swamp but then again driving a bicycle with a child doll or the kid doll on the car´s roof-those I do not understand. Unfortunately there´s a movie out as well. PS how on earth did Ozzy Osbourne and family life hit the No 1 spot...I don´t getit...
People's stupidity will ALWAYS entertain me! In my opinion, the first few Jackass shows were funny, now they just go for the gross-out factor, NOT funny.
