Allright, here's another one of those silly apolitical discussions. I would like to know what your favourite soda is. Personally I think I'll go for Dr. Pepper and I also like the Cherry- flavoured Coke. Best regards/ Daniel
AMEN TO THAT, BROTHER!!! Rootbeer will always be the best by FAR! I honestly don't like pop, except for rootbeer. Well, gingerale is pretty good to. I like "rum and cocaaaaaa co-la" with a little bit of lemon in it every once in a while. Some of this stuff though is WAY too sweet and way too gross - pepsi blue, vanilla coke, Mt. Dew..etc. There used to be a drink here around IU called Big Red (actually though, it was from texas). I used to kind of like that, but only if I was eating it with taco bell for some reason. When I was a kid I used to like all the different kinds of Fago, but I no longer have a sweet tooth and prefer things like coffe and beer. Well, and water.
Thanks Doc and I like Big Red too. Have you ever tried making a Big Red ice cream float? Its delicious!!!!!! There used to be another "red" brand--it was called Cima Red and I think it was from Mexico. It was good but too sweet for me. I tell you--its easy to get addicted to Gig Red.
Apolitial...Apolitial.....How can you have an apolitial discussion on sodas when theres Iron Bru on the market??? Just ask any Jock...Scotsman...if Iron Bru oould possibly by apolitial... But in answer to your question...Dr Pepper of oourse....Better than cough mixture and cheaper...
I'm going to go with the Diet Mountain Dew. Large, chemical tasting, and has more caffine than two cups of coffee. Just what I need in the morning.
I can not sleep with out a Dr Pepper before bed. Orange Crush is good too. They still have Big Red in Texas. They used to sell a soda called Royal Crown Cola but I have not seen it a Wal Mart for a long time. Has Wal Mart made it to the UK yet ?
The national drink of TEXAS...Big Red! Next favorite is Dr Pepper. When I was in Europe, my Mom use to ship me a case of Big Red a month. That puppy was gone in less than a week! Hmmm, I feel a craving coming on.
Dr Pepper RULES I really like Red Bull as well but after three mouthfuls I just get too hyper and start running everywhere
I stopped drinking soda over a year ago, but I like Pepsi, Coca Cola, RC, 7up, Canada Dry Ginger Ale. I will still have one every few months. Greg
Coca Cola and Dad's Rootbeer (or Barq's) for me! Also, there's a pop up here called Jolt, I"m not sure if it's in the US or anywhere else, but it's got about 4 times the caffine then any coffee has....oh so good, but it gives me a headache. DUCE
We have Jolt in Sweden also, it's common among computer nerds. I'm actually surprised that so many mentions Dr. Pepper, I thought I was the only one. Best regards/ Daniel
Yeah, I could use some jolt right now. That stuff works wonders for the student who has to study all night.
Not as such, they did buy one of our big supermarket chains a few years back, but i can't say i've seen a Wal Mart over here. For me its Coke, and love Cherry Coke. But the stuff you have over in the States and Canada is much better than what we have.
RC Cola was OK, but tasted too much like Pepsi to me. Important question!!!! Does anyone remember Frosty's Rootbeer? Now THAT is what Rootbeer is supposed to taste like. Also--anyone like Hires Rootbeer and Triple XXX Rootbeer? Hires I think is made near New Braunfels--here in Texas--just the otherside of San Antonio. I could also drink Gallons of Triple XXX Rootbeer. Its as good as the real thing too which is called Saspirilla. Oh and I cant forget to add A&W Rootbeer as another favorite.
Man--this sure brings back memories...... We used to own several horses: Arabian, Quarter-horse and a few Colts. Everyday after school and when my Dad got home--we all would load up and go to Sheps Stables (where we kept all of our horses) I got the job of riding the horses while my parents prepared their Oats, Hay, Apples and Salt and filled their water traughs. My horse was named Nellie (I liked "Kitty" much better but, you know how that goes) What the eh? I was only 6 at the time I owned this horse. After I finished riding Nellie--my parents would have an ice-cold Frostys Rootbeer waiting for me at the stables. That was the best of the best Rootbeers I ever had.
Why shucks Carl, you had me all choked-up reading that. I could smell the golden hay being forked into the loft by dad with mom walking out onto the porch carrying a tray of hot biscuits calling out, ”There’s freshly squeezed lemonade inside for y’all”, and young Carl running through chest high corn in his faded bib-front jeans, followed by faithful Shep, and white haired old Rastas pumping water and saying, ”Y’all slow down there young massa Carl”, while Bluebirds chase around in a late afternoon sun to a strain of invisible violins. Sh/t, my mascara’s running. No.9 [ 10. April 2003, 11:49 PM: Message edited by: No.9 ]
