I'd say so. Some of these posts make no sense at all.

Come on, gents- you don't like the "AssMasters" idea?

    Oh, whatever...

    ;)

(Erich- YES YES YES YES YES... Should be done right off the bat, if you ask me!)
(btw- Erich, the 8th piece is coming. Should (finally!!) be able to mail this weekend! ;) )

    Close it, not delete, please.

I put some posting effort in here (getting the poll results etc.) and asked questions I never got an answer on, and all for nothing?

    What did I wrong?

    Cheers,

    C :

Thanks my friend ! I await patiently.... :D

I wish there was a way Andy and others, when a topic gets measeled and watered down that there would be a way to start another topic header and regroup some of the postings. I see some factual material in these many pages and yet alot of silly bickering which is just rabble off the top of our heads which needs to be radically thinned out. If left as is in a total thread the deleted items will leave gaps and subsquent postings will make no sense. The simplest answer is to delete the whole thing and start over under a new thread name.......I'll leave this as is for the time but my aging fingers are getting awfully close to the delete tab ! This was originally about V's anti-war protest and where has it gone.....all to shambles !

Looks like I missed out by only checking in on this thread once.

Urgh--I agree with you--one should be able to retort when needed.

Andy--I cant see that you did anything wrong. In fact--I was rather enjoying your postings. Its just that it looked like the whole thread was losing its focus--but--im pretty much staying out of this anthill.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

    No, really...

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

So instead of using JDAMs and whatnot, why didn't we just bomb Iraq with copies of "AssMasters part 3"...
We could use an old "conventional weapon"... like Debbie Does Dallas...

(Geez, this crap actually makes me miss the Knight's Forum. A little. A real little. OK, maybe not. But ya'all get my point...)

Why? Oh, I see- so we can all have the pleasure of reading a wonderfully informative thread like this...

</font>[/QUOTE]Roll eyes all you like, if someone was talking rubbish about Tobruk, he would be pulled up, and should be. If you feel its ok to put up insinuations that are clearly untrue and then not be able to back them up when challenged then ok, that ok for you. Go past it.

Ive said before this is not the forum to discuss this stuff, but who keeps starting the topics on it...While they are started and while they are full of crap, they deserve to be challenged.

If Otto wants to call a halt to it fine, stop the crap on here by all means. But while its being posted it shouldnt go unchallenged.

Erich I would delete the lot.

But even if you do, doesnt stop it happening again, unless people stop posting the stuff in the first place.

In any forum, if your going to let a topic run then the originator of the thread is not entitled to express an opinion without being challenged.

Or is that not the way it is to be.

The problem lies with the starting of the thread in the first place.

    Urgh :

I understand your points but I think this thread and others to the start of the Iraq situation have run amuck and have gone deep with our own personal feelings. Nothing wrong with venting in a good way, this just shows that we are human. There are no definates here and there is a bloody good chance there won't be for a very long time. The FFZ has become a place to post speculations. And if it continues then honestly there has to be disaggreements and challenges along the way. Just wanted to send a tone to all that we all need to get back to posting what is on topic and not give it a free for all shot for what it's worth with our full opinions.
I am leaving this for Otto to consider this evening. As my PC has not allowed me to delete even when Mr. K was amongst us, it is better for Otto to serve notice and delete as he seems fit.
So for now maybe we will just let this thread go barren.......and maybe reformualte our thoughts for another thread.
