So, what do you guys think? I bought the DVD and whoa! I love it! (then again, I love the movie.) The sneak peek of the third part of the trilogy looks amazing. DUCE
I had already seen the movie at the cinema and loved it. I just received the DVD today and have not watched the preview for the next one. I can't wait.
What was that thing that kept on saying "my precious..." supposed to be? Was it once a hobbit turned into this ugly thing or what?
That would be Gollum. He is captivated by the ring. Yeah i've got my copy on order and can't wait for it to arrive. Looking forward to the final instalement at xmas.
Wilconqr, Gollum (or Smeagol, as he was known before he found the ring) was one af the 'river folk' hence his love of raw fish. His fascination for the 'One Ring' slowly changed him into the pathetic, but very tricky creature we see in 'The Two Towers' Just wait until you see 'The Return of The King' to see just how tricky he can be. He is also quite mad!
Well, I watched it in the cinema more than three times and I've just bought the DVD! Even if nothing has paralell with Tolkien's books, the film was very well made and it has very interesting views. I loved the battle scenes. The music I think is the GREATEST thing of the film. Wow! I can't wait for the 3rd!!!!!!!!
They are certainly doing their best to build up the last episode as the best, I hope they are right, I was a little disappointed in the second one
The Lord of the Rings was orginally written as a single book. Tolkien's publishers insisted that he broke it up into pieces because 'it wouldn't sell' as a single novel. (Anyone who has all three books will understand that this is not a 'book before bedtime') 'The Two Towers' is the 'meat' that ties 'The Fellowship' and 'The Return' together. Jackson has 'realised' Middle Earth with an incredible appreciation for the original concept. As a film in it's own right, it is a little 'lightweight' but just wait for part three.
I just pray that the third one is as good as the others...I can't wait to see the lady of the tunnel...(can't remember her name... ) DUCE
Yeah, well, me too. I think the battle at Helms Deep was a bit to loooooong perhaps. While I'm sure we all love well-made battle-scenes, that thing went on for ages, especially compared to the book. The book always left me "wanting more" of that chapter with the battle, and apparently Peter Jackson had similar feelings when he made the movie...
Great two movies and hoping the last one to top it all! I mean how many times do you see a 3 hour movie that doesn´t bore you in any place, at least I wasn´t!! As I watched the "Two towers" the moment when the trees attacked sorta amazed me. You need to do alot of work to make it interesting. Just think about it. You try to make a scene with trees attacking...
Yeah Love it-had a look at the sneak preview of "Return Of The King"-it looks amazing...Great Special Features with that DVD...
