as mentioned before, not the biggest football fan, but people in my family seem to be fans of the vikings.

I'm not a big fan of that pretty boy either. Ever seen Killy Gonzalez play? Granted, he isn't one of the best known players out there, but when he gets controll of the ball he's insane. Excellent passes and equally strong with both legs. A Phenominal older player. Not to mention he plays for my favorite team (Internazionale) and wears my number (18) [IMG]

Herr Kaleun, The Ravens, that was it...So, now he shows his stuff in Canada!? Wow, guess I kinda missed his window then...Thought his back-up QB with the Admirals was better...

Anyway, Anybody a Rams fan? Kurt Warner also played for us! :D ;)

Oeh, Duce, We lost Andy van der Meyde to Inter this summer. Hated to see him go. Hope he'll do well in Milan. Am sure he will...Andy is a future Dutch National.

Thank you for the confirmation Ivan. [IMG] It's just been too long since I was really "into" Football.

I'm VERY surprised that it is now an International sport, like Baseball.

I cant believe i have seen him play. Its hard getting European over here in the states. I have to live with 10PM Sunday Nights on ESPN when they do higlights from the Premiership games. Havent seen it in a while, but will try to this weekend. I usually watch it just to catch a glimpse of Arsenal (my favorite soccer team - lived right outside of London when i was younger) bute Pires and Henry are pretty impressive ball handlers. I remember watching the highlights of a game a month or two ago where they were short handed most of the game (but won 2 - 1 i think) and i remember seeing Henry take on 2 or 3 defenders in the corner (to kill time) and he busted this sweet move and beat all of them/won a corner. Most of the higlights were of Arsenal - despite being shorthanded - as their ball control is very impressive and they had more attacking oppurtunities in the game. I am always amazed at the teams ball control and passing skills - most other teams dont even compare.

I'd say it should be worth about as much as Snake Stabler and his 3 yard pass completions were to the Oilers.. [IMG]

I live in Houston, and participated in "Love ya Blue." The Coach, Bum Phillips, the QB Dante Pastorini, the Tight End Mike Barber, "Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, and the hardest running back I ever saw, Earl Cambbell all became "Love ya Blue" with all the cowboy hats with feather hat bands....I was more a leather hatband man and didn't wear the feathers....The foolish owner, Bud Adams, maybe three or four clicks worse than Jerry Jones every was any day of his life, couldn't stand it when his team started belonging to the Coach, the players and yes to Houston.

When the Oilers were cheated in Pittsburg on the "Renfro Call", when they came home, the City of Houston met them all the way along the road from the airport to the Astrodome and the Astrodome was filled FULL with a pep rally of cheering fans ---and I mean 57-58,000 people -- to meet a losing team...

Everybody was touched and crying and Bum (the Coach ) said something like "Two years ago, we knocked on the door -- This year we banged on the damn door -- Next year we're going to KICK THE S-O-B IN!" The Astrodome ROARED..

Later Bum made a public statement ( answering a rumor that I guess the damn interferring old owner started ) saying that "The Fancy Passing Dago " Dante Pastorini would be the Quarterback of the Houston Oilers as long as he was coach and Dante wanted to be his QB. The old jealous B****** owner traded Pastorini for Stabler two weeks later to show who was boss.

We went from ~150-200yds of running by Campbell and 7 for 10 for 200-300 yds passing from Pastorini to 34 of 43 for ~150 yds by the burnt out "Snake" ( He had a GREAT completion ratio for MOSTLY NO YARDS, in the flat, and got all the receivers banged up...)

All the Oilers needed to do was one more windsprint, 5 more situps,2 more pullups and 5 more pushhups etc per day per man and they would have rolled Terry Bradshaw, Mean Joe Green and the GREATEST team in NFL History into a tight ball for stuffing in the wastebasket. Instead, "The Oiler Cannonball" ( Earl Campbell) and the "Fancy Passing Dago ( Dan Pastorini ) and "Love Ya Blue" was over. The old lying owner later held Houston up for stadium improvements ( "or I'll leave" ) got them and still took our team to Tennessee.

Now, I am waiting patiently, ( and it will happen sooner than later ) for the day that Texans "BATTLE RED" pours ALL OVER Bud Adams' stupid looking toupee and the Titans' heads.

One of the early years in Bud Adams' tenure in Tennessee, Earl Cambell was invited up there for a ceremony to maybe retire his jersey. He asked them,"Is Coach Phillips going to be invited?" When they said "No", he said he, Earl Campbell and Coach "Bum" Phillips were on the Houston Oilers and if Bum wasn't imvited, he ( Earl )didn't care to know anything about any Titans..."

    HOOK 'EM, EARL!!! [IMG] [IMG]

Yes, Arsenal seem to be having trouble outside of England...ever since Henry had that hat-trick in a game against Roma i think ( 3 - 1 ) which also happened to be their last win...11 months ago. Right now, they are stuggling through injuries to two great defenders (which is a big thing) plus the suspensions and all from the Man U (damn the bastards) game. You just watch, a miracle will unfold! (Or so i hope!). Nevertheless, the FA Cup will be ours this year. :D

 You phillies deserved it (obviously better played game than the Cowboys)...so don't go rubbing it in. ;) They had a better start than they've had in quite a long time, and if that's the rate that it's going to wake up and win a superbowl someday, then that's something us Texans are going to have to deal with. But anyways...good game...(for the most part). I wouldn't have wanted to be a Cowboy in the locker room with Parcels...

Sory about the rubbing in, I had to gloat a little. That win felt great considering you guys won the other one this year.

And I am really hoping you guys keep that wildcard spot so the CBs can come to Philly the second playoff week in Jan., so we can do unto you as you have done so many times to us in the playoff past.

:D All I hope is that the Cowboys will be on for a little bit longer than last year. Parcells has done a great job.
As for the next time...we'll see. But I'm ashamed to say that the Cowboys could be doing better. What is it now...7-4? Something like that...I've been kinda distracted lately...

The Cowboys are 8-5. Your hopes will be fulfilled. Barring a collapse Dallas'll should the playoffs and play at least one extra week (and likely will win that WC game and play two extra weeks, since the lower two division leaders {prob'ly the Vikings and Panthers aren't very good.)

used to be a redskins fan. saw them in '92 at wembley against the 49ers-Rypien against Montana. 3 secs on the clock in regulation time, it was tied 24 all. Then the 49ers kicked a 52 yard field goal!
    What a match!

    Regards,
    Gordon
