Also here. http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/03/25/blair.libya/index.html My personal thoughts is that we should reward Libya and other countries that wish to become a part of the global community and play "nice". Perhaps it is a way to put the squeeze on terrorists organizations as long as the welcomed countries drop their wicked ways. If we do not honor this, such as the US is doing with Libya, then there will be hell to be paid. On the Russo-German non aggression pact, was it Hitler or Stalin that said, welcome but do not trust. Or something to that effect. [ 25. March 2004, 12:03 PM: Message edited by: PzJgr ]
Too true--all too true :-D and besides--I just had Enchiladas, rice and beans with two flour tortillias--for lunch today. Burrrp--all nice and satisfied
You're killing me. The wife made some Arroz con pollo with frijoles burrachos. MMMMMM. MMMMMM. Goooood. It is enough to get me through.
Hi Za--Ike is correct. Also, I was weaned on Mexican food. More than half of my girlfriends have been Hispanic or part hispanic.
Just to think of Americans —and even worse, Texans— cooking —ruining— some foreign food makes me shiver...
I've tried... And except for fancy and expensive restaurants, the average imitation of foreign food by the Americans is very, very lousy...
Is it a coincidence that Libya has a huge reserve of undeveloped oil fields? Not to mention that Anglo-Dutch oil giant Shell signed a deal with the Libyan state oil company the very same day that Blair and Gaddafi met? Or am I being too cynical?
Hi Jpatterson--where do you want me to watch my waisteline to go? Kidding. I eat this stuff once in awhile and in doing so--it will not effect my waist any. Same goes for Chickenfried steak--only allow it once in awhile--same with Pizza, Hamburgers et el.
Oh man, I'm sitting here reading these posts and you mention chicken fried steak. Now I gotta have me some but ya can't get it done right up here in PA. Guess I'll have to make it myself! Later
