    Swift Boat Quotes

I'm curious about what your take is on this stuff. Seems like they have an axe to grind about Kerry - but there's a lot of them with the same story. Did Kerry really participate in war crimes he accuses these people of? My problem is not that he earned the medals, but his treatment of his fellow soldiers when he came back after his 4 months in country. I understand protesting the war - I'm all for that ... but don't protest the war, return or throw away your ribbons, and now, when it's politically expedient, be "proud" of your military record and gloat over your medals? Medals earned while murdering and raping civilians - as he charges against the SwiftBoat men? Maybe I'm missing something, can someone explain away this hypocrisy?

I think Patton said it best, when he said...

"This Nazi thing. It's just like a Democratic-Republican election fight..."

    :D

Personally I wouldnt vote for either of them...

Ones a thick, raving lunatic and the other has all the charm of a wet haddock...

I strictly go independent, but am wondering when Kerry will get off his so-called hero worship of serving say less than 6 months ? the guy even had the gall to put in for a purple heart for a scratched arm. The seal chap that fell, dropped into the water as Kerry's boat turned tail, not due to a mine explosion and the rest of the swift boats came under direct frontal fire, only when the guy was overboard did he turn around to snatch him out of the drink. The whole issue is one of confusion........swift boyz for him and then they are against him. very strange, and then to top it off blaiming the Bush campaign for the stet-up or whatever the demo call it. Anyone think about slick Willie and his wife in the background trying to taint this ? very plausible don't you think as if the two Johns pull this out her hopes of a clean sweep in 2008 are gone.
On the other hand and I hate to say this but if Bush is in for another 4 years we may see troops in Iran, Syria and Saudia Arabia on a full scale, not to mention Israel.

Either way - we're in trouble. Frankly, I'd vote Kerry in just to keep that carpetbagger Hillary away from the Whitehouse.

Dont worry, hilary would never win a national election as a Presedential or Vice Presidential candidate.

As for Erich's words on Troops in iran, saudi arabia, etc. if Bush is in for another 4 years:

I highly doubt it, he's smart enough to know that Iran is becoming democratic naturally and doesnt need our help. (yet ;) )

As for troops in Israel? Depends, only if a Palestinian organization conducts a terrorist attack on US civilians or other targets.

All right, no quarrel with kippers [IMG]

    Define smart, please. [IMG]

Now seriously. At least you have to admit the man has some bones to pick with words, doesn't he?

"I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein."—Washington, D.C., May 25, 2004

This one is stright from the White House and you ought to know it.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/08/20040805-3.html 4th paragraph from the end

Last i checked god gave man two hands

and Za, youll find many verbal flubs straight from the mouth of Bush, however you can look back and find its truly not that abnormal for public speakers to make such errors.

And dont be Stupid Za, you know that one can be intelligent regardless of their public speaking abilities.

I'm not stupid, at least I'm not as such certified by the Royal Honourable Guild of Stupids, so I can't claim the description [IMG]

As for the rest, I hope you won't be offended if some people feel differently from you, do you? Otherwise what would you make of the expressions "freedom of speech" and "freedom of thought"?

Actually, neither side allows free speech. Try going to any message forum on the web, republican, democrat, European, American..whatever the case may be and you will find that for the most part dissenting opinions are not accepted and that the prevailing crowd at that establishment rules the roost.

Well, I guess that is democracy huh....the majority rules? Well, I for one live in the USA and contrary to popular belief we are a REPUBLIC, not a democracy.

This is the main reason why I opened my site. I was hanging out at the Axis History forums and I noticed how the admins and moderators just love to lock threads and stifle anything other than the offical party line on all issues.

My site will not have thought police at every forum ready to pounce on the poster!

    ok..rant off..sometimes I get carried away.

"Senator Kerry carries shrapnel in his thigh as distinct from President Bush who carries two fillings in his teeth from his service in the Alabama National Guard, which seems to be his only time that he showed up," John Podesta, former chief of staff in the Clinton White House, said on ABC's "This Week."

The mud slinging contest continues. Say what, how both parties about getting rid of these two candidates and starting again and finding another pair? This debate is poisoned already.
