In the message icons there is no Canadian flag? Granted, the maple leaf didn't exist until 1967, but I think we did enough to deserve one.

Otto does this forum out of his own pocket so there will be no advertising to look at. If he starts adding lots of new icons it costs storage space and more money out of his pocket.

He may make you a Canadian flag but as soon as he does others will want flags of their countries.

'We' used to have a lot more flags than we have now. I can still remember the discussion surrounding the removal of several....I do agree though; The Canadian effort in WW2 is under-exposed!

Just saw this thread. Trust me Pwwbear I am in no way neglecting Canada's participation in the Second World War. I am Canadian myself after all!

When I made the icons I just wanted the big three on each side. Besides, if you notice, I use the flags that each nation employed during the war. Canada's flag of the day would not show up very clear on an image that is merely 16 pixels wide by 16 pixels high.

I do have in the works a series of WWII flags that you will be able to insert into posts via the instant graemlin function. The historical Canadian flag is among them, Canada will have her day! ;)
