The second half wasn't much better ... We were denied a definite penalty late on, but I'm not gonna cry about that. Liverpool gave a poor performance, of that there is no doubt. There was no team play, no real commitment from the squad ... Very disappointing start.
Did Liverpool make any big signings over the summer? I didn't hear much about them apart from players leaving (much like with Arsenal). I did hear that the Hotspurs spent big, but have no idea who they brought in.
Well a win and a loss is better than two draws. Liverpool signed glenn johnson(so far so good) and an italian midfielder called aqualani who is supposed to be really good. What worried me about yesterdays game was that spurs seem to have identified liverpools two midfielders and the tactic seemed to work.
Liverpool and centre-back problem -------- Benitez has explained the pressing need for another centre-back to be signed, with Daniel Agger now out for another three weeks with a worrying back problem. Martin Skrtel is doubtful to face Stoke following the jaw injury he sustained in Sunday's defeat at White Hart Lane, although he did train on Tuesday. Benitez will not make a decision on whether to risk the Slovakian until closer to kick-off. With Sami Hyypia now having left the club on a free transfer, Benitez is left with youngster Daniel Ayala to partner Jamie Carragher, who has recovered from the head injury sustained at White Hart Lane that needed stitches. --------- Should not have left Sami leave, who has been chosen already this week by "Kicker" magazine in the week´s Bundesliga star line-up....
Most people are going to crush Stoke. Man Utd seem like they are in a bit of bother though. The lose is a shocker and they barely eeped out a win over the weekend too.
Liverpool tie up £2m Kyrgiakos deal Greece international Sotirios Kyrgiakos has completed his £2million transfer to Liverpool after agreeing personal terms on a two-year contract. .............. Liverpool defender Daniel Agger will have back surgery next week and is likely to be out for six weeks, missing Monday's visit of Aston Villa. ---------- Sevilla have signed Alvaro Negredo on a five-year deal after the highly-rated Real Madrid striker turned down the chance to join Hull. Negredo impressed while on loan at Almeria last season, scoring 19 league goals, to inspire a chase for his services this pre-season.
Utd are finished and theyll be doubley finish once the drunken tramp retires. The only threat to liverpool this season is chealsea.

Everton boss David Moyes has admitted defeat in his attempts to keep Joleon Lescott out of the clutches of Manchester City. Moyes said: "I would have preferred to keep the player. He's a good player and he can play two positions. "I've been disappointed but I've had my say on how it's been and any more would be repeating what I've said. "You could see the effect that it had last week. It's played a big part behind the scenes. "Joleon had told me on the Friday (before the 6-1 home defeat by Arsenal) that he didn't want to play but I had no options so I chose to play him but it worked against me. So, I've taken the decision. "It's been difficult because Joleon's attitude has been so poor. We'd rather have him playing but if a player is going to behave in the manner he did, we had not choice but to keep him away." --------- Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal is coming under growing pressure after the club's worst start to a Bundesliga season in 43 years. A 2-1 defeat to Mainz on Saturday left the record German champions languishing near the foot at the table with just two points from their first three games of the season.
Well when I saw football I thought straight away Rugby League, (that is league not Union.) then I thought maybe it is your American Gridiron (SP?) haha they wear padding. Until finally I realised it was soccer.

Just Wow!! "Manchester City have confirmed they have agreed a deal to sign Everton defender Joleon Lescott for a fee thought to be in the region of £24m." City agree £24million Lescott deal | Latest News | Football News from TEAMtalk
This is madness! (No, This is...MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANCHESTER!) Bloody Hell, is there no end to their spending fees?
City is back in businez...this time a veteran... Veteran Brazilian defender Sylvinho has joined Manchester City on a one-year contract following his release by Barcelona. The former Arsenal star left the European champions at the end of last season and passed a medical on Monday afternoon to become the seventh new arrival at Eastlands. Now 35, Sylvinho will provide cover for Wayne Bridge at left-back.
Liverpoolsucks, what? Aston Villa 3 - 1 Liverpool, AT Anfield. And you say Liverpool is a contender....
Mussolini, footballs a funny game.not only will liverpool win the league but the champions league,,i do think maybe the pre-season was a bit too hard. 3 draws = 2 losses.
