Does anyone by chance have a listing of Luftwaffe Airfields in North Africa?

    Thanks!

I noticed it all went quiet after this request so did a little 'digging'. I think a definitive answer may be difficult to find - here, for example, is my own by-no-means-definitive list of the various North African Airfields/landing strips used by JG27 : -

    Ain el Gazala
    Martuba
    Gambut
    Tmimi
    Magrun
    Arco Philaendrum
    Sidi Barrani
    Quasaba
    Turbiya

Some of which I should think are just fly-specks on the map.... :(

    Here's another one for JG27 : -

    Quotaifiya

    And then, used by JG53 ; -

    El Aouina
    Djedeida
    Mateur
    Protville
    Haggag el Quasaba

Thanks Martin! I just now saw your reply.

Rick atkinson in "An Army At Dawn" VERY breifly touches on air units -from either side- in Afrika. And I was interested in finding out a little more about the German troop bulild-up after the initial invasion, and then the airstikes throughout the campaign.

I'm sure these will give me more to go on.

    Thanks again! [IMG]
