Battle of Loos 1915

    In the above battle the British Army lost no less than three Divisional Commanders amongst those killed. These men were all Major-Generals and as such would be expected to be far enough away from the fighting not to be casualties. Does any know of a good WW1 Forum where I can research how these very senior officers met their deaths. Alternatively, if anyone themselves is aware of these circumstances, then so much the better ! I might also add that this battle was a British victory !

    Major-General Sir Thompson Capper killed 26 September
    Major-General G H Thesiger killed 27 September
    Major-General F D V Wing killed 2 October

    We do have a real authority on the Battle of Loos who visits these forums on occasion : 'Airborne Medic' who has had a book published about the battle.....
