Can you tell a Mk IV from a Mk II or III ? I was going to say, Tank, Cruiser, Mk V, Covenanter (A13 Mk III). Anyway what's this? I know this is too easy for Bod.
Yes of course, can't everyone. Main differences are the external mantlet, front storage boxes and engine cooling louvres. That too would have been correct although the terminology would have been a little outdated after the name Covenanter had been adopted in 1940. Remember which side of the Atlantic you are Owen. This is 'Name that TANK'. Why have you posted an armoured car?
Ah, yes Bod, forgot which forum I was on. Surely some of our other experts can get this on before we go back to tanks.
well since the last guy on the name that tank thread wasn't saying what the answer was I though it would be ok if I made a new one, that I would start off.
Super heavy assault tank T95 number 1 US Army registration number 40226809 as seen at Aberdeen Proving Grounds on 23 January 1946.
This vehicle is really postwar as it is a development of the Kotin design bureau during the late 1950's. It is a Kondensator 2P with the Grabin SM 54 406mm (16") gun intended for tactical nuclear weapons delivery. Although it may be the very similar Oka with 420mm mortar. The two are hard to tell apart from the angle of the photo.
