"Be careful what you wish for." I have all three volumes of the Aberdeen Tank Data Series on disk. Anybody ready for a near impossible one? :trumpetplayer:
This little beauty was developed during WWII. Can you id the country and manufacturer? BTW, this is a military application.
Has someone jumped the gun? What about this one? A Carden Loyd Patrol car Mk VI on loan to the Danes who called it FP-4. It's right there written on the front. I thought that only I posted pictures of tanks with the name written on!
Looks like one of the Yugoslavian late-war conversions of Stuarts with German guns. Don't think they had an 'official' designation. Cheers, Adam
I'd jump at it and say it's a Sexton, but devious as you are then it can't be one for sure Side door?
I believe it is. A "Marriage" of the reliable and well built Canadian "Ram" tank,(side door) mated to the 25 lb(er). Used until the 50's, until spare parts became but a dream. As you say...it may be some "prototype" pre-model, but it looks like the pictures I have, minus the happy faces of it's riders. It was well a liked AFV/GMC. Sexton
Ah ha, so you are beginning to recognise my style! It can't be a Sexton because that would be too obvious. Quite correct Za. Skunk, as the Sexton was the original marriage between the Ram and the 25pdr. Then also no. Not a 'pre' anything, in fact more of a colonial 'post' job...
