I must be losing my touch.. that took some finding. A nice tricky one. Soviet GAZ-74 (SU-57b) Cheers, Bod
I'd guess that these are Pz I training vehicles (judging from the suspension) made up to look a bit like Shermans. I'd assume they were intended for use in antitank training but have been pressed into combat service with some sort of weapon (PAW 600?) installed.
This "Thingy" with some other field modifications ? or something the Poles put together to support their Warsaw uprising in 44 (probably not).
That's what I figured too. I've no idea where or when. But PzKpfw I chassis, certainly. As for armed and pressed into combat, not sure. Take it T.A.
The background is the same, the "Gomers" are the same, but the vehicles are different. Look at the position of the track compared to the front of the hull, and along the boogies, color as well. One has a piece of track on the front plate, ropes/cables along the side. An experiment, "Photo-shopped" to appear as a combat vehicle? I give up.
Well after having taken a closer look at the layer thickness of the paint covering the white handle on the hatch I would agree with Za - okay guys just joking Regards Kruska
