2008 can belong to most anybody-just as long as it is a Republican.

Why so gas prices can increase and the possibility of better healthcare can be diminished?

Come on we need a Democrat for a while.

He's really more of a Constitutionalist or Libertarian. He's much too fiscally conservative to be a Republican.

You know, I have been hearing this man's name more and more. Me thinks it is time to do some research. Normally I vote Republican but I agree with Big Fun, we need someone who will take care of the domestic problems now. I just don't think it is a Democrat though.

It's time for everyone to do more research on Ron Paul. We need someone 'for the people and by the people'. Someone who will take their oath of office seriously and govern by the Constitution. Not cater to special interest groups or lobby's.
    America first!

Well said Scott, Jeff, Ike, 18, I agree with you all. Now that Tom Tancredo is out, im open to any other candidates who aren't democrats - with a few exceptions of course ;-)) They are: McCain, Guiliani and Romney. I don't have much for these three partly because none really want to focus on the illegal alien problem and all have something against the 2nd Amendment-which I am 100% for. "The Right To Bear Arms." This shit about the politicians saying that that right is for members of State Militias only, is a bunch of Horse dump.

Any candidate will be fine with me.

As long as he/she is sincerely believing that the world was created 6.000 years ago and Jonah took a 3 days break in a whale belly, of course. ;)

I hate comments like these! I may only be 15 but I know a sh*tload about government! There is no republicans, democrats, left-wing, right-wing, whatever! Only people who can make change and people who can't! I believe that whether Clinton, Obama, McCain, and most candidates our troops will stay in Iraq, Health Care will suck, and our economy will drop! Democrats can't do crap about our healthcare Skies! Hillary Clinton was bought by drug companies, etc.

Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee are the only ones who will make a differents. Sadly, Ron Paul gets zero media attention. I can not express my disgust in this nation we call the US. Ron Paul was not in many debates because he was not allowed too. Paul is the only one, if elected, who would withdraw troops NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Also equally as sad, Mike Huckabee, who has a chance of winning does not have the balls, power, or respect to pull out troops in Iraq.

    Since we're off topic:
    Here is my prediction:
At the very end of George Bush's term, we go into Iran and start full scale war with them. Why? I'll tell you why after I get a comment on this post.

Gentleman, I have money on Obama because the wind blows in the Dem's favour, Bush just blows and there just isn't a Thomas Jefferson in the GOP House.

Obama's campaign is extremely slick and enlightened. The people he has employed are simply fresher than Hilary's.

Anyway you can still get good odds for Obama.

    Isotope, SS-Kapitan ;-)) Well said.

The reason why Ron Paul gets no media attention is because the damned-fragging media has already chosen who they want as President. It will either be the billery/obanana team or and hopefully for the Reps, either: Thompson, Paul or Huckabee.

No, we do NOT need another dem in the White House-8 years of slick willy were more than enough. It's going to take at least another 8 years of a good Rep to begin to straighten out the clinton messes-as well as some of Bush's messes. And please, don't ask me to list any examples as I don't feel like getting into another argument. That said, is also strictly my own opinion and not facts I heard or read from somewhere.

Ok, I believe that we are going to enter Iran to fatten Cheney's paycheck. Anyone else agree? If you don't know how it will get him money, you shouldn't be posting in this thread.

Practical question : who votes during these "pre-elections" ? Is it only open to Republicans or Democrat party 'members' ?

    No, I don't agree.

Also, where is all of that oil that Bush is supposed to have "stolen" from Iraq? There are several major refineries in my area including but not limited to: Valero, Brown and Root, citgo and Celenese. These refineries here sure as heck are not recieving any of ""the oil from Iraq that Bush supposedly stole" to refine and sell; and we here do not have gas prices of $1.00 per gallon either.
