it didn't pass by me, look at my post just above yours Oberst, I'm surprised we are the only ones to see that!
Anyway, here is a pic of my car, well not exactly, as I om on vacation and the pics are at home, but this is almost exactly like mine, I have the two tone interior.
    It's a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500 XL Convertible.

Sorry, I missed your post in my haste to comment, Thinking about Mr Roberts and the crew when they threw the Palm tree overboard, for lack of a smilie:cheers:........aha, I found it:bow: but perhaps this honor should go to 272vgd or does this belong in that other post about brass balls.

Looks like I'm going to have to dig up some pics of my old wheels.

Ah yes, American muscle. I know hefting up rice burners is big in Europe, but I have seen some nice suped up Opels in the UK. I cannot remember the model though. They were sold in the US under the Opel brand during the seventies.

Nice airbrush work on that Volvo, really! Nice taste in cars, I always loved Volvo's.

The beginning of this thread reminds me of those plastic slings hanging from the sides of the old 2-door VW Beetles, on the inside. It took a while to discover what they were for, but actually they were a very useful car accessory.

Mind you, I'm not that old, and my first car was a 4-door!
