The only thing that stands out (for me) is the raised rear idler. It was in-line on the Tiger not raised.

...that can be easily fixed , if you just push down the rear of the Tiger it gets right and looks just perfect, see for yourself but then the old set of roadwheels with the real idler looks different than the late model roadwheels and the rear idler which is set higher than the old one :D

The late model idler is actualy a smaller diameter one but still using the same mounting.
It just has the wrong 'look'.

Have to say that I completely agree with mkenny about this - it's my only major issue with the model ( along with the lack of raised turret armour ).

I think a smaller idler as fitted to late-model tigers would improve the situation. I argued this point on another forum but was slapped down ; but it just doesn't quite sit 'right'.....

I also agree and it was visible to me even before i bought this Tiger but it seems that certain FOV Tigers have a bit more or a bit less raised track on the rear...
A smaller rear idler can be bought and put instead and that would fix the problem , the track would automatically sit right , nothing that cannot be taken care of !!! :)

I'm reluctant to start tearing mine apart - with my lack of modelling skills I'd probably ruin it....:(

I still love the model ; as a collector of diecast model aircraft, I well know that the 100% accurate model is a rarity, if not almost impossible to find. That's where a highly-skilled plastic kit modeller can still beat diecasts for accuracy.

Whenevar I make German tanks from later in the war I find stuff in the yard (like grass and torn leaves) and model it to the tank to make it look like improvised camoflage :)

Hey Schwarz. First let me say great camera work. The tiger looks great. I was looking at one the other day at my local park. Two guys were driving them around and shooting the cannons at the RC cars on the track, for a small group of onlookers. I have to get one of these myself. They are great. Thanks Knabe.....:)

Seeing as Schwarz hasn't been on since January I don't think he will be responding ;) I suggest you send him a private message.
