I'm with you Adam. I love those 8 Rad set of wheels. Next to the StuGs, the sdkfz 234s or a fav. I noticed that Germany and Great Britain relied heavily on their armoured cars.

Anyone in a foxhole or city street that sees a force of tracked military vehicles bearing down on them surely knows exactly what to shout (after a few obscenities and general abusive expressions meaning 'enemy' or 'Government troops'). Whether it's an APC, SPG, TD, SPATG, ARV, AVRE, or MBT, semantics has to fly out of the window... A tank is a tank.
(On a mildly more serious note Patrick Wright's 'Tank' is very good on these things, more of a sociological than technological survey of the beasts.)
    Ah bless it! M****n H********n I believe. ;)

    I'll get my coat...

Me fav'rite tank, Guv'nor? Deffo the Centurion. But if this is confined to WWII - I can't decide between the Churchill & the Comet. Both represented the peak of development for the Infantry (Churchill) & Cruiser (Comet) tank designs.

    Sometimes piss artists... :spin:

Though I think a bit of George Formby might suit this one better than Land of Hope & Gory.
