Old TV shows on DVD and WW2 Books as well, nearly forgot a little collection of Sci Fi Dinky toys and a good collection of Yesteryear cars.

Good gracious, Shangas, I finally figured out what your Avatar is! Now I feel like an idiot.

Oh don't feel bad, Slipdigit. Yes, my avatar is my prized Parker Duofold. 1928 'Big Red' celluloid two-bander. One of the gems of my collection. And currently filled with Parker Quink black fountain pen ink.

Those cameras up there look very interesting, do any of them work?

Military items (incredible amount inherited), Military books, westerns (Louis L'Amour primarily), fantasy novels, history reference books, wildlife representations (paintings & figurines various media), roses, herbs (all legal!), stuffed bears, crystal (most inherited) tins with paintings on them, and yes my husband is quite patient! I'd love to collect more antiques but it will apparently require an addition to the house.

Great stuff Shangas, always found pens fascinating (used to sit stripping down my fountain pen at school and then re-assembling it). I hate writing with a biro, usually I have a decent ink pen somewhere on my person even if it is just a parker vector. They are just far more pleasant to write with.

Most all of them function still, though the evil digital has robbed me of the urge to descend into the darkroom anymore...
There's 2 aerial cameras from Farnborough that I plan to fire up one day, but sadly it's less and less likely as the mould grows over the film-stash :D.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

You have a dark room? Fantastic! I did photography at school (my father has a similar collection of cameras which came in handy, particularly a Voigtlander Brilliant TLR that my grandfather 'captured') and spent many happy hours in the dark room. Digital cameras are tragically convenient aren't they, haven't picked up my SLR in almost a year now. Really should get back to doing things properly.

Bought a digi SLR, love it... but rust now gathering on some beautiful film cameras, & digital images sitting on the hard drive unprinted .

Funnily enough one of the last cameras I bought was a 1937 Brilliant, used to use a 50's Voigtlander as my standard indestructible snapshot/party camera... That's if I didn't feel a need for the personal protection offered by the sharp edged & brick-like Argus on a strong strap ;).

The Voiglander TLR was beautiful, worked really well and produced some beautiful negatives and prints. Unfortunately the strap on it broke one day and I had to bodge a repair with superglue on the spool.

Some really nice and very interesting collections here.

I used to collect Iron Crosses. A nice collection that one day I decided I didn't want to do anymore for personal reasons and sold it all within a week. I'm betting the IRS was watching the old Pay Pal account that week. :)

I now collect the winners. WWII US Armor and Tank Destroyer patches, Ike jackets, and just getting into the medals a bit.

I also have a nice WWII library, with a weakness for the Osprey books. I like the variety they offer.

If anyone is interested, I could post some patches in the Militaria forum.

Been a while since I posted here. The Waterman (see previous page), has now been re-sacced, reinked and is back in working condition. Another wonderful addition to my pen-collection.

Now to try and find a Waterman #52 lever-filler...

I do not actually collect these but they were gifts from my father. They are ww2 postcards with ww2 tanks and planes on them, I might make a thread with them all.

I am collecting WWI BEF soldier postcards, so that I can make an Album of Remembrance. I also have an ever increasing amount of books.
