Its a two part question:

1.) Which three nations manufactured the parts of the tank - chassis, turret and the gun?

2.) What tank is it?

Naw, sometimes you just stumble on to things.

Okay this should not be too hard.

This map is of what battle or campaign?

These are some "heavy hitters" from Marine Corps History. There is quite a bit of information in the picture so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Three of the men in the picture were awarded the Navy Cross; but, that is not the award they are recieving in the picture.
All four are being decorated for their actions during the Battle of Guadalcanal.
Only one did not survive the war.
Three are prior service Army.
One is an Aviator; but, that's not what he is receiving an award is for.
Two have roads at Camp Pendleton named after them.
One has a rifle range, at Camp Pendleton, named after him.
Two became action figures.

Well if you put it that way then.....

"2dLt Mitchell Paige, third from left, and PltSgt John Basilone, extreme right, received the Medal of Honor at a parade at Camp Balcombe, Australia, on 21 May 1943. MajGen Vandegrift, left, received his medal in a White House ceremony the previous 5 February, while Col Merritt A. Edson was decorated 31 December 1943. Note the 1st Marine Division patches on the right shoulders of each participant"

I had started looking but didn't have the time to finish. I recognized Basilone and 1st Marine patch, and thought that was Vandegrift on the left, but didn't know the rest and didn't have time to verify the first I named.

good job Jadg

That is a section of the Borschard pistol, the precussor to the Luger. I probably spelled his name wrong.

True. C93 Borchardt. The gun that had the first operational toggle-lock and precessor of P-08 Luger/Parabellum.

Your turn. :)
