Hello you all!! I came by this forum looking for some answers concerning colour schemes for my WWII model planes! At the moment I'm working on the Heinkel He-70f2 in Condor Legion colours. I've found the existing thread and am making use of the discusion already (in under five minutes) I'm a modeller since the age of 10, giving me a 23 year span of building kits on and of. I started anew with my collection at the age of 25, goal being to build as acurate and precise as possible. Next to that i have been a history student, alas I never finsihed univesity. I have a small collection of books containing colourschemes and information on WWII airplanes, but I'm hoping to expand my knowledge here! Next in line will be a Revell kit of the BV-222, so any information before hand is welcome! Btw: normally I build 1:72 scale. I have retained my old booklets, instructions and boxtops and backsides, so if you're looking for something in particular, ask. Maybe I can help....
Hello, glad you made the step. I'm sure many will be interested to see your models and help you with your requests too. If you wish to post a few pictures of your favorites models I'd love to see them . I'm into 1/48
Have a couple standing by in 1:48, Spitfire, kittyhawk, fw190 and Macchi 202 folgore. They have been sitting in the closet for a couple of years and they always seem to be on hiatus.... I am going to make some pictures of finished models. I have about 20 standing completed. Because of the size, I never been one for airbrushing, just regular painting. I have been looking into it, mostly because of giving the planes a finish. Any tips on what I can best use? Clear paint or matt, that sort of stuff..
Will be posting some pictures this weekend. Have finsihed on Spitfire Vb floatplane, which was nice to research also... Next to that there is a Ju-87d-3 "Immelman" i'm really proud of. Straight out of the box, no extra research done on that, but maybe someone can help after the weekend....
Welcome to the forum. I bought a German model tank but I haven't finished putting it together - It's just too difficult.
Welcome, to the Forum, Cornossos. As you've already found there is a lot of information here, and people willing to share their knowledge.
Cheers Cornossos and welcome to the WWII Forums! Nice work on the spitfire float plane, and I'm glad to see this site is such a valuable (and seemingly quick), resource for you.
