Can the USA and Russia truly become allies?

Hmm. Interesting. Don't know if Russia has totally let go of it's communist past. There is much that both could benefit from such an alliance but the culteral differences will just be the crack in such an alliance. It would be great but don't see it happening.

The biggest obstacle, in my opinion, is the US government's arrogance and narcisistic attitude. I truly believe that the US is in for a big economic downfall and Russia or China will be there to pickup the pieces. America's time would then be over.

 

The Russians actually seem much more humble than the US.

 

Very true, plus I think the Russian people are prepared for something the US is not, suffering, at the very least they don't expect everything to be roses all the time. Then again I got the impression that this was disappearing with the younger generation.

that is happening world wide. The younger generation not knowing suffering that is. They do not respect their elders and especially the WWII vets.

 

I'm talking the Russian people in general. They don't have a sense of entitlement like here in America.

 

I dont think that America and Russia will never become allies. I doubt there will be a war with russia. The cold war has affected the attitude between Russians and Americans. America is on one spot of the world while Russia is on another totally different spot and page.

 

Well, according to Nostradamus, America and Russia will fight a war against China, but what does he know.

I think they can become allies, If the put their minds to it.

This line remindes me slightly of the plot for call of Duty 4.

If USA and Russia became allies the world would be a better place.

However, this would never happen. Too much competition in virtually all aspects.

Seriously in our life time, no.

Four or five generations on maybe that is to say if both sides get to together and tear down some big walls but I find it a little impossible.
