    hey guys
just joined up to the site
i have been interested with WW2 for years
as my grampa used to collect lots of relics and memorabilia (i mean tons of the stuff)
luftwaffe pilot clothing-SS helmets etc..(mostly german)
so i gues its from there

so i guess like everyone else on here im after a bit more information on WW2
also do you guys welcome metal detectorists
as i know some people hate them
-they way i look at it is WW2 finds that are better on display than under a foot of dirt

    well thats me done
    cheers chris

Welcome aboard, Chris! Collectors of the American Civil War use metal detectors all the time. I've never seen any particular beef against them.

Welcome Chrish and don't worry about the metal detectorists, we appreciate them and they often post their finds in the militaria section.

    Welcome!
You will find many of us use metal detectors here! Most of the threads here are by you lucky buggers over there! The only thing I get to dig up now and then is the occasional screwdriver lost by a farmer!
