    Hi everyone,
My name is Sarah, prior USAF SF, and I found this site by researching for unknown patches and insignia. I enjoy collecting military insignia and reading about each generations view and lessons of war.
I look forward to reading your posts!
    Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome! So far it's a great place, I could get lost for hours in here.

Bigfun, next time I go to the Netherlands to visit my mom I'll check out the resistance cemetery, I didn't know about it... I know where my mom lives in Castricum they still have the German bunkers in the fields, strange sight to see cows just walking along... I can only imagine what that must've been like.

    Hey Sarah!!!

My Father was born in Ten Post! Northeast of Castricum!
I'm hoping to make a trip over there sometime soon, but we'll have to see what the dollar does with the euro!
    Were you born in Holland?

Prattville, Alabama. Now I know exactly where that is, Sarah. I'm an Elmoron! A transplanted Elmoron actually, I wasn't born here.

Did the tornado damage your home?

Welcome to the forum and I hope that you can contribute much.

    BTW....Roll Tide

Yep, the tornado was right across the street, my husband just happend to open the front door to see what the weather looked like, and there it was! Next street up but just behind our neighbors house across from us, was VERY interesting. I'm a USAF transplant here in Montgomery for the time being, grew up in the panhandle of FL and it's a rare occurance for me! We get at least 2 weeks notice of any weather!

My cohort at work also saw the funnel, he was on the north side of Cobbs Ford and west of McQeen Smith.

Have you turned off Private Messages?

Hello sarah, great to have you here. I have a drawing of Medieval Leiden in my living room. This was given to me by my Dutch ancestors.

Hey Bigfun, I believe I never told you I spent some time in Castricum and used to have relatives there too. They could have been your dad's neigbours (almost)
