    Calvin E. Von Seggern
    (1927 - 2008)

    WAUSEON,OHIO - Calvin E. Von Seggern, 81, of Wauseon and formerly of Archbold, died Tuesday evening, July 1, 2008, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan.
    Born April 25, 1927, at McClure, to Gertrude (Warner) and Deitrick Von Seggern, he married Thelma I. Bender on Oct. 20, 1951, and she preceded him in death in 2001.
    Prior to his retirement, he had been a truck driver and had also been a Knapp Shoe Salesman.
    An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Tedrow United Methodist Church and also a member of the Wauseon American Legion Post.
    Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (and husband, Jeff) Lewis of Bryan and Cindy (John) Green of Maumee; two sons, Jerry (Diane) Von Seggern of Gambrills, Md. and Jeff (Beth) Von Seggern of Bryan; and eight grandchildren.
    In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lowell Von Seggern and Norman Von Seggern.
    Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, Wauseon.
    Funeral services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Diane Shaffner to officiate. Interment will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Olive Branch Cemetery, near McClure.
    Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
