Well, it took me a while, but I found this great forum! I'm a retired 20 yr USAF vet who worked all my career on the R&D side on infrared sensors. My last and best assignment was working for General Abramson at the Pentagon on Star Wars or SDI. I've been retired 15 years from the USAF, and now work with NASA on the Next Generation GOES Weather Satellite at Goddard Space Flight Center. I've been interested in history all my life (during college I nearly switched from physics to history). And of course since I was in the military, I have been recently re-reading a lot of my old WWII books. My latest book read was Rick Atkinson's "The Day of Battle" which really gave me a much better understanding of the whole Mediterranean theater of operations. I look forward to meeting you all on-line.
Welcome on the forum. It's great to have someone from the airforce here. I'm into aviation so I hope we can talk about the 8th AirForce together.
Texson -- Welome to the forum and thanks for your years of service! You will enjoy your time here, and contribute much; I'm sure! Cheers!
Here's my welcome come late. We have already 'crossed swords' once or twice. Here's to a great future, here and elsewhere
